Migrating from Ranch 2.2 to Ranch 2.3

Ranch 2.3 is a maintenance release containing a small number of fixes and improvements.

Ranch 2.3 is tested with Erlang/OTP 27.0 onward.

Features added

  • Support for Erlang/OTP versions below 27.0 was dropped. Ranch will now only support Erlang/OTP versions that receive security patches.
  • Ranch processes now have labels.

Bugs fixed

  • Unnecessary crash logs were sometimes produced during PROXY header parsing. This has been addressed.
  • Acceptors now handle emfile and enfile errors the same way, instead of just handling emfile. enfile is the system-wide equivalent of emfile.
